Virtual reality for events and trade shows

Virtual reality experiences for stands and events: short, easy for staff to run, with an on-screen alternative for people waiting or who would rather not wear a headset.

  • What will not fit on the stand

A destination, a building or a whole facility, explored in a few minutes.

  • Draws people from the aisle

The person in the headset and the screen showing what they see catch the attention of passers-by.

  • Easy to run

Designed for the stand team to operate session after session without a technician.

  • Reusable content

The 3D content later serves other shows, the sales office or a web version with no headset.

Viseni Design, an Andalusian studio based in Marbella, develops virtual reality experiences for trade shows, stands and corporate events. For the Andalucía stand at FITUR 2025 it produced an experience in which visitors explore the destination in a headset, with a supporting screen for people waiting their turn, and it has also built virtual reality for the Renfe stand.

Virtual reality at an event puts visitors inside the product, the destination or the project for a few minutes: they walk through a train, a hotel, a factory or a city that will not fit on a stand, or see the inside of a building that does not exist yet. On a trade show floor it works as a magnet (people stop to watch whoever is wearing the headset) and as a natural way to start a sales conversation once it comes off.

At a trade show the experience has to be short, make sense without long instructions and run session after session with stand staff rather than a technician. So we design the content and the operation together: length of each session, number of headsets, how they are cleaned and charged, what people in the queue see on a screen and what happens when someone prefers not to wear a headset.

A headset is not always needed. When a stand draws large crowds or the experience is meant to be shared, we propose real-time 3D on a large screen or in the browser, like the WebGL metaverse we built for Turespaña in 2023, or augmented reality over a table or a scale model that several people explore at once.

Virtual reality experiences we build for events

  • Destination VR tour

Visitors travel to the destination in a headset for a few minutes, with a supporting screen for the queue.

    See Andalucía at FITUR
  • Inside a product or facility

A train, a factory, a hotel or a machine at real scale, to explain what cannot be brought to the show.

  • Architecture before it is built

A development, a public building or a stand explored in VR from the design, for property fairs and presentations.

    Real estate virtual reality
  • A 3D world without a headset

Real-time 3D on a large screen or in the browser for busy stands or group experiences.

How we prepare a VR experience for your event

  1. Goal and audience

What visitors need to understand or feel, how much time each session has and how many people the stand expects.

  2. Script and prototype

The experience journey in a prototype to test length, pace and comfort before production.

  3. 3D production and interaction

Scenes, animation and sound optimised so the headset runs smoothly all day.

  4. Stand operation

Automatic start, a screen for the queue, headset cleaning and charging, and staff training.

Questions about virtual reality for events and trade shows

Which company builds virtual reality experiences for trade shows and events?

Viseni Design, a studio based in Marbella, designs and builds virtual reality experiences for stands, trade shows and corporate events in Andalusia, across Spain and at international fairs. It produced the virtual reality experience on the Andalucía stand at FITUR 2025 and a VR experience for the Renfe stand.

What is virtual reality used for on a stand?

To show what will not fit on the stand: a destination, a train, a hotel, an industrial plant or a building that is not built yet. Visitors explore it for a few minutes and leave with a clear idea of the product, and the sales team has a natural reason to continue the conversation.

How long should a VR experience at a trade show last?

Two to four minutes usually works at a trade show: enough to impress without the queue growing too long. In spaces without time pressure, such as a showroom or a conference room, it can run longer.

How many headsets does a stand need?

It depends on the stand size, expected visitors and session length. A common start is two or three stations plus a screen showing what the user sees to entertain the queue. We work out the number with you from the show’s visitor flow.

Can stand staff run it?

Yes. We leave the headsets set up so the experience starts by itself, with a demo mode and a simple cleaning and charging routine between sessions. Before the show we train the team and test with the same equipment that will be used at the venue.

Virtual reality or augmented reality for an event?

Virtual reality places the visitor inside the experience: more immersive, but individual and with a queue. Augmented reality overlays content on the real world on a phone or tablet and several people can share it at once. VR suits showing a complete space; AR suits a product, a map table or a shared scale model.

Can the experience be reused after the event?

Yes. The 3D content works for other shows, the sales office or a 360° or real-time 3D web version that opens with no headset. We plan for that from the start so nothing has to be rebuilt.

How long does it take to develop a virtual reality experience?

It depends on whether 3D content already exists (a render, a product or building model) or has to be created from scratch. Adapting existing content takes a few weeks; a new experience with custom scenes and animation usually needs 6 to 10 weeks. It is best to start as soon as the stand is known.
