Virtual reality for tourism and destinations

Immersive VR tours that let visitors travel before they book — one of the most powerful tourism promotion tools at fairs.

  • Memorable experiences

Visitors remember a destination they have “visited” in VR far better than a leaflet.

  • Stand out at the fair

A VR stand draws a visible queue that attracts more visitors.

  • A sales tool

Agents can use the VR to present the destination in tourist offices.

  • Reusable content

The experience can be reused on the web, in apps and in later marketing.

A virtual experience can introduce the atmosphere of a destination before a visitor travels there. We shape the content around the locations and experiences the destination team wants to communicate, with an interaction suited to the event.

Our approach considers both the media and the practical setup. Session length, supported headsets, staff guidance and alternatives for visitors using a screen are agreed as part of production.

How we use it

  • Destination VR tour at fairs

A 2–4 minute immersive experience that takes visitors to the destination at FITUR, WTM, BIT or IMEX.

  • Web 360° without a headset

A browser-based 360° tour with no special hardware, for busy stands.

  • Destination app with VR module

A destination app that includes VR tours for use on the stand and after the event.

  • 360° video production

Filming and producing 360° video on location for VR experiences.

Frequently asked questions

Can visitors explore the content without a headset?

A screen-based or web version can be included when required. We define the device support and differences between versions before production and testing.

Have you created VR for Turespaña or regional governments?

Yes. We have real projects of virtual reality for Spanish tourism promotion at international fairs, and know the public tender processes, technical requirements and timelines involved.

How long should a VR tour for a tourism fair be?

2–4 minutes is the optimum at a fair — enough to create impact without long queues. For experience spaces without time pressure we can create 8–12 minute experiences.

How many headsets does a tourism stand need?

For a fair like FITUR we recommend 4 to 8 headsets depending on stand size and expected visitors, plus waiting-area screens showing the content in 2D.
